Mark Pearson-Gills was born and raised in the suburbs to the southeast of Melbourne, Australia. He is proud of his upbringing and is happy he has been able to spend most of his career in the area. Pearson-Gills received his secondary education in Melbourne, graduating in 1988 with his VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education). After Mark Pearson-Gills completed his secondary schooling, he took on an apprenticeship in carpentry, working under an established carpenter over the next two years. He would learn the tools of the trade, biding his time until he figured out what it was he wanted to do as a career.
Mark Pearson-Gills applied to RMIT University after two years of working as a carpenter. He was accepted into the Melbourne-based institution’s prestigious five-year chiropractic program. In 1996, he graduated and obtained his degree, becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. Mark Pearson-Gills was able to travel to the U.S. and visit some of the most respected specialists in the chiropractic industry there, as well as working in the United Kingdom, where he was able to advise chiropractic practices. Today, he is active with the Australian branch of the World Chiropractic Alliance, promoting his industry and profession.
